Photographic Print. Scary skull guarding over the Ghost Train at Blackpool Pleasure Beach fairground, England.
The Gothic horror splendour of the Ghost Train is enhanced by the bird flying across the tower, skull and bones of the skeleton. It was designed for the amusement park by Joseph Emberton in 1936 as part the rebuilding of Blackpool Pleasure Beach into a unified entertainment environment, a project unique for Britain in the 1930s.
