This is one of a series of still life photographs inspired by lush and exotic
landscapes and objects, Hawaii, altars and floristry. A 1960's retro beautiful black woman's face
vase, adorned with colourful, exotic flowers, blue violet Gladioli, pink Anthurium, lilac Dahlia, and purple Buddleia against lush green foliage, I wanted her to look serene and regal like an exotic princess. I did not alter the colour of these flowers on the photograph from bluish purple to this incredible blue Gladioli, it must have been the light.
Colours are as accurate as possible but may differ slightly due to screen calibrations.
