Photographic print. Niches wall and two orange seats inside the chapel of Laigueglia Cemetery, Italy.
The orange of these two chairs looked striking against the burial wall of le nicchie, the position of the seats a little bizarre but also peaceful and practical for praying and looking at the opposite wall of niches, thinking of those passed away. It was photographed inside the simple white chapel which is in the centre of Laigueglia Cemetery on the coast of Leguria. I always wait until no one is present before photographing graves and tombs.
Colours are as accurate as possible but may differ slightly due to screen calibrations.
