Photographic Print. Pink Clematis flowers trailing in sunlight in a garden in Delores Heights, San Francisco.
This photograph of pink Clematis flowers hanging against the sky creating watercolour effects in the background, reminds me of the 1940s technicolour films. In particular, in the 1946 Powell Pressburger film, A matter of life and death, when Conductor 71 appears, the Rhododendrons blur into wonderful technicolour. Although the Clematis photograph is lighter and not as intense, it has that slightly surreal or over real quality.
Colours are as accurate as possible but may differ slightly due to screen calibrations.
